peter lena 9,308 #1 Posted June 21, 2021 just replaced the pto drive belt to my 42" rd deck on my c-85, the old belt was stretching close to the end of knob threading . went to T/S , tried to match up with belt gauge , was not helping me, used a pipe rack end post , to give me the 1 1/2 " shorter I wanted . HUSKEE, 1/2" X 94 ARAMID # A92K / 4L940K, 44-61313, PERFICT FIT , belt went on , with a full thread left on the pto adjustment knob , just what I wanted . also swapped out my steering wheel for an early 90, s foam insulated model to stop the wheel buzz , it worked ,! no more hand numbing from the hard plastic, touched up a few spots that were bugging me . belt is very quiet and solid , just regular maintenance for me , never wait for a failure , just my own experience , pete

squonk 43,939 #3 Posted June 21, 2021 (edited) Belts do not stretch. The sides wear down so they fit deeper in the pulleys giving the false appearance of stretching. Belt gauges belong in the trash because of this. Measure the outside diameter of the belt with a tape measure. Edited June 21, 2021 by squonk 1
