Guys , i need some advice .    First, i do have a Wheel Horse, 312-8 , runs great . I also have a Massey Ferguson MF10 , has a Tecumseh HH100 motor . I need to find someone who can rebuild it , i know i can get parts from I Save Tractors. Problem is finding someone to do the work.  Or finding a decent used one , running ......  any suggestions . Im located in Georgia, Gwinnett county .  Called a few small engine places around here , and none showed any interest in doing the rebuild ......

Getting a shop to do a small engine rebuild seems to be a problem nation wide. There are more than a few members here that can do it but most likely involve shipping and make it cost prohibited. Especially if machine work is involved.

Hopefully members in your area will chime in and offer advice.

Last I heard, pistons, rings and such are almost impossible to find for the HH-100.  I would double check with "I Save Tractors" again and ask if he has pistons and rings for the different boring sizes first.  My small engine guy had a real hard time finding that stuff, took over a year, and he finally found what he needed in California...we are in Illinois.  First, check on availability, then finding someone to do Tecumseh's.  It might be easier and cheaper to find a 10 hsp Kohler.

If you are somewhat comfortable with small engines, maybe take off the head and see if there is a stamp for the piston size on the top of the piston.  My small engine shop was fine with me just bringing them the block and the head and crankshaft to do what needed to be done.  That was two Kohler K-181-S's and then I put them back together.  If you can do that, maybe one of your shops would help you.  :eusa-think:
