vogli 86 #1 Posted June 14, 2021 The clutch rod pivot arm connected to my brake/clutch pedal has broken, and I'm trying to figure out how to fix it, or if it can or rig up some replacement. This is appears to be a cast iron piece. In the worst case, I think I could probably epoxy this, and it would "work", but being that this is both clutch and *brake*, that makes me a bit nervous. It's got to be reliable. Better would be if I could find a replacement part somewhere, or rig up some reliable alternative. I just don't know what this precise piece is. I've got a 1970's (??) C-120 8 speed manual, with a kohler 12HP k301. I'm not exactly sure what year. The clutch pedal on my model is on the left, and is also the brake. I do not have separate pedals. In the IPLs for 1974, 1975 this is part doesn't look quite the same as mine. The serial number seems to indicate the 1973 Raider 12. Huh. I always thought it was a C-120. OK, so, this looks like part 4899, which I've not been able to find anywhere, so far. It appears to me that this cast piece may be connected to that rod via a pin of some sort...but I don't see any hole on the other side of the cast piece. Might it just be painted over? This is a tractor I use hard, and regularly. Although it has sentimental value, it's not for pretty - I don't care what it looks like. vogli 86 #7 Posted June 15, 2021 Grrr. Any tricks to getting this off? The pin won't move. A cut off nail is too soft - bends. I broke a punch, and only succeeded in moving it maybe 1/16th of an inch. I've put a little pb blaster on it in hopes that it can work its way around the pin and provide a little lubrication....but I'm not holding my breath. daveoman1966 3,839 #8 Posted June 15, 2021 (edited) You really should use a 1/8" ROLL PIN punch to get the pin out. It has a nipple on the end to prevent flaring out the pin...like a flat-face punch or nail would do. With a ROLL PIN punch, mine came right out.
