JD guy 1 #1 Posted June 8, 2021 Purchased a 1996 520H with only 156 HRS from a friend. Worked great blowing snow with 44" blower. Parked in my shop for 2 months and now several ounces of transmission oil on floor under rear end. No leaks when parked there in April or after winter usage after several times blowing snow. Dipstick tube appears tight. Oil Level now at add mark. No cracks visible and dry at axle seals. Any thoughts on isolating oil leak?

Any hoses leaking?) Does seem to be a very small leak, Maybe under pressure you will find the leak. Over time seals go bad. Haven't had a single WH transmission that wasn't leaking when I got it. squonk 43,714 #3 Posted June 8, 2021 Trans may have "burped". Eaton 1100's are kind of known for doing that.
lynnmor 7,788 #4 Posted June 13, 2021 Yep, they mark their territory, my best guess is that temperature changes cause the burping.
