ToroMan 3 #1 Posted June 6, 2021 Hey All, Looking for opinions on the Wheelhorse/Toro 257 H. There is one for sale that is in excellent condition with only 450 hrs on the 17HP Kawasaki engine. I understand this machine has some sort of a horizontal to vertical belt system, but I don't know much about it and if it's necessarily a drawback. Any opinions would be appreciated! Thanks! Maxwell-8 4,367 #2 Posted June 6, 2021 (edited) It has a vertical engine 17hp in a single cilinder engine. Heard some good things about Kawasaki engines. Trans is a good old Eaton 7 they are normally horizontal. The belt will wear out a little bit faster but The big boys WH have same belt twist for the mowin deck. Only made in 1988 and 1989 Edited June 6, 2021 by Maxwell-8
