kpinnc 14,632 #8 Posted May 4, 2021 (edited) The blocks did not change much between K and M models. Many 10 and 12hp between the two both have "K301" cast above the PTO bearing. As has already been stated, ignition type, and flywheel bearing plate are where they differ. Points cover and starter mounting is different too. Some older k did not have balance gears but most big blocks did. I saw the pictures years ago, some models use the same crank shaft M12 thru M16. That is where I saw the three balance gears on the M16. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
