518-A tires/rims

What do I need to look for when buying rims?

If I can find some rims with tires on them what is the lug nut spacing I need? Are there any brand tractors that will work for sure like Simplicity for rims?

I know the 23 X 10.5 -12 will work on the 520HC but are there any issues for a 518H? Do the 10.5 use the same 7" rim?

A 10.5 turf tire will fit the 7.5 inch rim just fine. I have a couple like that. An 10.5 ag tire won't, simply due to there being less flex across the cleats. You can get it on there, but the beads won't seat right. Go with turfs and you should be fine.

The 520’s use a 8.5’ rim and pretty much all garden tractors use the same Ford/dodge bolt pattern. If you find a set for a decent price and the offset isn’t right you can buy a set of spacers of fleabay or the jungle site pretty cheap. Wheel Horse rims don’t have much of a inside offset 1.250” .

I think the 310-8 have a 7" rim not a 7.5" rim.

What about the 518H? Is it 7" or 8.5"?

Thanks,

Mort

My 516H has a 7.5" wheel - guessing that the 518H is the same. The 520H is 8.5". 23x10.5x12 Deestone Ags on the 520 but they tend to run on the narrow side.

I thought the 520 H was 23 X 9.50-12 and the 520 HC was 23 X 10.5 -12

That is what some of my books are showing.

Thanks,

Mort

Hi Mort - yes, it was disconcerting. Was hoping I had 10s but the 520H measured 8.5.
