Horse_rebuilder 5 #1 Posted May 2, 2021 So I just got the horse and it came with a Koehler m12, however it has a 312-8 hood and frame it seems, now I’m curious if they only started putting magnums on instead of the k series when toro bought it or something else, the real question is when did they start using the magnum engines, like what year
squonk 43,939 #2 Posted May 2, 2021 If your going to ask why the engine hangs over the frame on the PTO side, there are 2 bolts coming up from the bottom on that side that thread into the pan.

Sorry, I might have Fraser the question wrong, what year of models did wheelhouse start using the Koehler magnum engines instead of the Kohler k series

tunahead72 2,553 #8 Posted May 2, 2021 @Horse_rebuilder As near as I can tell, the '86 308-8 came with a Magnum, the others started in '87. Check this out: Model# List - Model List 1984-Present - RedSquare Wheel Horse Forum
