Electric fuel pump.

Recommended Posts

Butch

I put an electric fuel pump in my C-85 today. The ground is nothing. But where is the best place to attach the positive wire. Should I tie

into the ignition switch or use something easier?

Thanks.

Should be powered by the yellow ignition wire going to the coil (+)

I attach mine right at the coil +. I go overboard and power a relay from the coil + and then feed 12V directly from the battery to the other side of the relay to the pump.

I picked the feed from my light circuit, I don't use the lights so just unplug them. You have to have the light switch on of course. Bob

I must be the only one, but I have trouble with too much gas being delivered to a style 16 carb. I am using a good fuel pump. I started using the remote pulse operated fuel pumps. Hope they work.
