Butch 194 #1 Posted April 25, 2021 I put an electric fuel pump in my C-85 today. The ground is nothing. But where is the best place to attach the positive wire. Should I tie into the ignition switch or use something easier? Thanks. Butch S. Jersey
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,390 #2 Posted April 25, 2021 Should be powered by the yellow ignition wire going to the coil (+) Garrry
squonk 43,361 #4 Posted April 25, 2021 (edited) I attach mine right at the coil +. I go overboard and power a relay from the coil + and then feed 12V directly from the battery to the other side of the relay to the pump. oldlineman 1,513 #5 Posted April 25, 2021 I picked the feed from my light circuit, I don't use the lights so just unplug them. You have to have the light switch on of course. Bob
Gregor 4,847 #6 Posted April 25, 2021 I must be the only one, but I have trouble with too much gas being delivered to a style 16 carb. I am using a good fuel pump. I started using the remote pulse operated fuel pumps. Hope they work.
Butch 194 #7 Posted April 25, 2021 Well I hooked up both wires to the coil. After playing with the choke she fired right up. Thanks guys! Butch S. Jersey
