C160 Hydro / Snow Blower

I have a C160 with Hydraulic Lift. When I lift my Snow Blower it does not hold its position and falls back down, Is that the fault of the lift cylinder?

It's possible.  Something is letting the oil flow back to your reservoir.  Bad "O" rings would do it.  :eusa-think:

Could be a bad lift cylinder. It could also be a bad control valve.

And the bummer is there is no easy way to determine which it is.

Good news is that the likeliest cause is worn seals and they are available at a couple of this site's vendors. At least one will do cylinder or valve rebuilds as well, if that interests you.

I had the control valve rebuilt not that long ago for leaking. So maybe that would point more to the Lift  Cylinder.
