ERBSHORSE62 10 #1 Posted April 15, 2021 Can anyone show me a sketch or picture of the proper way to feed a new Fuel Line from the Tank to the Engine. Unfortunately my first attempt caused a pinched hose and destroyed the line causing a leak after mowing 1/2 of my 1.5 acre lot. Thanks for any guidance. Herb H. rjg854 12,243 #2 Posted April 15, 2021 (edited) Generally speaking, they leave the tank, go under the left side of the engine (fan shroud) and up to the fuel pump, usually with a filter inline. I mostly deal with 60-70 tractors though. Edited April 15, 2021 by rjg854 omit
953 nut 60,339 #3 Posted April 15, 2021 The fuel line on the 418 is routed along the frame under the motion control tunnel and up along the front of the hood stand then over the flywheel cover to the fuel pump.
peter lena 9,308 #4 Posted April 15, 2021 ERBSHORSE62, have used steel brake line bent with a tubing bender , very easy ,for the longest runs and rubber isolated secure mounting , then finished the last foot, stop and start with clear 1/4" fuel rated hose . also added a fuel filter at tank start and carb finish . pete
