Ff717 1 #1 Posted April 10, 2021 I have a 314-8 with a Kohler. Toward the end of last summer the engine started cutting in and out. When the engine us warm it is much worse. We replaced the manual fuel pump on the front of the motor. Have a clean fuel and air filter. Have loosened gas cap with no change. Wonded if anyone has experienced anything close. daveoman1966 3,839 #2 Posted April 10, 2021 Does that engine have a CONDENSER. If so, replace it. As the condenser ages, it begins to fail when warmed up.
953 nut 59,917 #3 Posted April 10, 2021 Could be an electrical connection that needs to be tightened or cleaned or it may be fuel related. Gas with ethanol will slowly screw up your fuel system, to find a station that sells ethanol free gas use this site. https://www.pure-gas.org/ Post the Model Number of your 314 and we can take a look at the wiring system to see what components could be the culprit.
edgro 680 #4 Posted April 11, 2021 Check screen on fuel fitting in tank. I had one do something like that, the screen was plugged or severely restricted. Would mow for 1/2 hour or so, then start cutting out

Mower Man 9 #6 Posted April 11, 2021 Check your motor mounting bolts. Is the engine bolted securely on the tractor frame? Have any broken or loosened? No movement is best.
