SKF 7410 seals. Inexpensive source found.

I keep a Parts Department of sorts here. Regular maintenance items and Common repair parts.

Several of those parts are related to the transmission.  All the seal sizes, the case gasket, fluid. A few of each on hand.

I joke that Trina and I are chea..... Uhhh frugal.

Really is true though. 'specially her. 😂

I have a bit of an odd enjoyment in life of finding the best price I can on lots of things.

So when I need something I take a few minutes (or way too long) to find what I believe is the best VALUE. Not always the cheapest price.

I got fiddling around online a week or 3 ago using 7410 as my base search and discovered that it's the shift shaft seal for old Muncie transmissions.

Anaheim Gear sells 3 in a kit for less than many places sell 1.

I have been getting mine from an :techie-ebay:seller for the same price, have him saved to my watch list. Like yours they were listed as Muncie but 7410 is in the listing information. I also have the other seals and bearings saved to the watch list.

Can't say enough good things about Rockauto. As long as you're willing to wait a couple of days and can group a few things to address the flat shipping - it's my only source and defeats those robbery houses chains. Oh for the days of the mom and pop auto stores (and my volume discount).
