What Year C-125

Recommended Posts

23 Reo

Just picked up a C-125 8 speed. I an trying to identify year. Can't read any of the model number but the serial number is 26444. The deck model number is 78345 with a serial number of 5903884.

The tractor has a steel fender pan without the Wheel Horse sticker. The wheels seem to be painted silver although it is hard to tell with all the rust. My guess it is a 1983 or 1984.

Tuneup

01-12K801   1980

01-12K802   1981

... and so on

The pan may not be original to the tractor so the model ID is key.

Welcome to the world of the Black Hoods!

Presuming it has the same engine it left the factory with it would be a 1980 if the engine spec # is 47723D and if it is 47742 it could be anywhere from a 1981 to 1984.

The spec is 47742 with serial number 12165241. The fender pan is metal like my 1984 C-165. The wheels are white, not silver. What year did they stop making the plastic fenders? I had a 1981 C-125 automatic with the plastic fenders.

Engine was made in 1982 so would be original to

1982 model 01-12K803

or

1983 model 11-12K801

107795 used 1980-1983 and plastic

109127 rear fender pan was used 1983-1984 and metal

Notice in 1983 both fender pans are in the same parts list for some models so no way of knowing from the online parts lists. Only an original parts list will identify them.

109127G rear fender pan was used 1982-1984 and suspect the G is for grey for the GT WorkHorse models in metal

Good chance your tractor is a 1983 model 11-12K801 because the 26444 serial fits in amongst others.

Does anyone know when they stopped using plastic fenders. My 1984 C-165's looks original.
