pfrederi 18,454 #2 Posted March 28, 2021 Welcome: Is eh ignition switch new??? In any event pull the plug off the back of it. Check for continuity between BAT terminal and S terminal when you turn the key to start. No continuity switchis bad. If there is check the wire from there to solenoid. C125 black hood 1 #4 Posted March 28, 2021 Had a new switch in. Took that one out and put another new one in. Thought maybe just a bad new one.12k802. I have ran all new wire to everything . I will check solenoid wire . I have no power to just the one red start wire. I have rewired this tractor a dozen times.
953 nut 58,694 #5 Posted March 28, 2021 Your PTO switch has two functions, one is to remove power from the ignition if the PTO is on and you leave the seat. The other half of the switch will interrupt power to the starter solenoid if the PTO is on. If the wires are not placed correctly that may be the problem. Use a test light on the wire from the ignition switch to the ignition coil "+" terminal. With the key ON and the PTO off there should be power there, if you put the PTO on and are in the seat you should continue to have power. Now get off the seat and the power should go away. If that is not the case you have found the culprit.
C125 black hood 1 #6 Posted March 28, 2021 I will try that. The seat switch was removed before I got the tractor the wires were just tied together. I just put those wires back the way they were when I ran the new wire. So I am planning on putting a new switch in at some point . Only have the two switches clutch and pto.
