Snoopy11 5,718 #2 Posted March 25, 2021 Hopefully I don't get flamed for my retro paint job... black and white instead of red... LOL
stevasaurus 23,276 #3 Posted March 25, 2021 Nice video and nice tractor. That seat kind of sets it all off. If those plastic things get to hot...the ones that put the slack in the drive belt, you can always use some thick wire to do the same thing. Some 109 wire would work great. Snoopy11 5,718 #5 Posted March 26, 2021 Thanks guys! Yeah, stevasaurus, I have thought about reusing the oem belt slacker... (probably has a real name, but I will just call it... belt slacker). The only problem is... in the tear-down and rebuild process, I kinda... lost it in my shop. I am still trying to find it. The one I have on there is metal... just not very strong metal. BTW, my father was in the Navy for 20 years. Retired a long time ago. I will say, out of all the seats I tried... that one is the most comfortable I have sat in. And... when I really stamp on the throttle and turn hard... the side supports hold me in. I was thinking about getting a seat belt... does anyone know what I can use... and where I can get it? Thanks, rjg854, I appreciate your input. I was thinking somewhere along the lines of candy-apple red, but decided to go with black and white after talking to some friends of mine. I did use clear coat... and decided to also go with 2K SprayMax Urethane Aerosol Clear Coat on the hood as an additional protection since my fuel tank is mounted on the hood. Speaking of the fuel tank mounted on the hood... the reason I actually came-up with that idea is because someone had put a battery on top of the hood, and the acid from the battery leaked out onto the hood and ate massive holes in it... thus I had to cut out the bad parts... perfect for the fuel tank... and I do not need to remove the hood to refuel! I will say, I really like the black and white tractor with the black plow. I actually can use the tractor as a mini-bulldozer... as long as I till the soil first (you can see my yellow tiller in the video). Those agri-fab plows are pretty substantial... (some reviews say that they don't hold up... but I think these are people who are trying to do more than what the tractor can actually do). It isn't a 2 ton earth mover... it needs loose soil and it does great! I can even move a pile of rock in my yard. I may try to get a video of the tractor running, if anyone is interested. I don't know how much will be able to be heard... but I might do it anyway. I am needing to dig a trench in the backyard... about 3/4 inch. I am thinking about putting a ground ripper on the back... somehow... anyone heard of anything like that? Thanks again! Don
