Searcher60 209 #1 Posted March 24, 2021 Hello everybody. Putting my I Electro 12 back together, I have a couple questions. 1) The lift arm assembly has 2 large hairpins to stop side to side movement. Are these hairpins the limit stop for the up/down of the hydraulic cylinder also? Do they have to be installed a certain way? 2) How many spacers on the foot bar for the hydraulic cylinder? Does a spacer go between the cylinder and brake pedal also? Thanks much!
pfrederi 18,711 #2 Posted March 24, 2021 Hairpins are not stops all mine go in from top bent external leg to the front. Sequence is spacer (4064), cylinder, roll pin,** Bushing (6254), pedal, Bushing (6254), Shaft collar. Note I put a washer at the ** between roll pin and bronze bushing to reduce wear.
Searcher60 209 #3 Posted March 26, 2021 First off, let me say thanks! I had put the hair pins in like shown in the parts book. They will not work as shown in parts. Glad i checked before I hooked up the hydraulic cylinder as that would have bent some stuff. The wrong spacer was on the foot rod inside the cylinder. There wasn’t any 4064 sized spacer. They had used a 1/4” spacer on each side of the cylinder. One problem, the brake pedal where the return rod goes in is hitting the new style hydraulic hose fitting. I see no way out of this except increasing the return rod length about 3/16.” Can you comment on this? Was there originally some type of cloth insulation around the dash to keep the hood from rattling against the dash when it was closed? What type of hitches do you have on yours? Thanks a bunch! pfrederi 18,711 #4 Posted March 26, 2021 New replacement hydro fittings are bigger/bulkier than originals I have had to cut away parts of the foot plate on mine to accommodate them. You just have to play with things to get clearances.
