551 Finally Finding Its Way Home

The tractor that has caused much controversy, hard feelings, and closed threads will finally be making its way to Duke. I picked it up from TT (who graciously stored it for Duke at his place) yesterday at the sping NAMA show. The tractor is finally at my place and will be delivered to Duke at the June show if nothin' else happens. This tractor has seen more states and has been in more hands than any other.

And to clarify things a bit I was the final buyer and did not have no part of all the goings on and hard feelings that this tractor created months earlier. When I found out it was 4 sale I called TT first and asked if he would store it for me and he said yes, TT thanks so much for storing it for me since November! I appreciate it very much! Ray my friend thanks for PU for me! look forward to taking it home where it will be restoring a couple 551's :drool:

Ray, I was also part of the "chain" of homes with this machine- It lived with me first. It sat in my barn for many years.

You have my thanks for helping get it to some point of closure.

Like Duke, I was not part of the problem with this. Myself, TT, and Eldon did what we could, but the wagon train broke down. This tractor and what happened with it has always bothered me. I am relieved that it will finally reach a good home.

I hope you can do something with it Duke. I thank you and TT for taking care of the original deal that went south.

Don't know much about the whole ordeal, but the tractor looks pretty straight to me! Good to see members working together to make it happen also.:omg:

Kevin and Chris, Good to see the story have a happy ending. That's what we're all here for to help one another out when we could. Too bad it took so long.
