RM-425 fit up on an 856

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I completed the rebuild of my RM-425 deck today and found a fitup problem on my 856. :omg: I was all excited to try it out too. The main drive pulley on the deck interferes with a bar for the quick connect. Here are the pictures.

I am considering drilling out the bar and using bolts on each side of the attachment clip. Has anyone else run into this? If so, what did you do?

Thanks,

Dave

You could cut the bar and make a offset in it for the pulley. -- Kind of like a crankshaft. And... I just looked and I have a latch that has a offset in the bar on one of my 875's with a side discharge deck. :omg: Mike

Sounds like a good idea. I'll do that.
