305 380 #1 Posted February 24, 2021 it seams to me that some Kohler engine used a Champion H10....? what about a H11...?
squonk 43,714 #2 Posted February 24, 2021 I ran an H-12 in a K301 that was fouling plugs.

305 380 #4 Posted February 24, 2021 good to know..thanks for the info! in my cleaning out the shed and garage of years of accumulation i found 5 Champion H10's and 6 H11's. they are new in an individual package with the clear plastic...remember that? i have no need for them , but thought maybe be wanted by someone.

squonk 43,714 #6 Posted February 24, 2021 Yes no H11. I had to buy the 12 when I was trying to get that 301 to run longer than 10 minutes.
RJ Hamner 1,025 #7 Posted February 24, 2021 Haven't had a whole lot of luck with Champions as of late. Switched over to NGK B-4L's and haven't had a problem (your mileage may vary)
305 380 #8 Posted February 24, 2021 These are really old NOS plugs......maybe 30-40 years old, so I’m sure they are ok
Stepney 2,354 #9 Posted February 24, 2021 If nobody else has piped up first, I for one would be interested depending what you wanted for them. My luck with current Champion is rather poor but I like the authentic older looking Champ's in my restored show engines.
lynnmor 7,788 #10 Posted February 25, 2021 It would be good to see a side by side photo of the old and new Champions. I have a number of new Champions and they look like they were threaded in a third world country. Those rough threads can't be good for aluminum heads.

I have some old and new Champion plugs - I'll try to get a pic this weekend (if I can get into my parts supply) I might have old / made in USA - and some old made in Mexico - and some current (made in Mexico ?) ... not sure - I pitched a bunch of plugs this past summer I was never a fan of Champion plugs - but the current plugs look even worse (than the old plugs) NGK and ND threads look much better - appear to be rolled (?) - and the Champion threads appear to be ... cut ... machined ... ? ... bad ... lol
richmondred01 2,307 #12 Posted March 4, 2021 I like the autolite plugs.
