canam1991 2 #1 Posted May 27, 2009 :omg: my d250's temp light comes on every time i do my neighbors lawn (2 acres) I know these are idoit lights because they put the sending unit on the water pump which is right nexted to the exhaust manifold?????? would a coolant flush help this just to be safe? Also do these have a oil filter/Thermostat? P.S. I am still looking for a three point hitch for this
clintonnut 126 #2 Posted May 28, 2009 Clean the radiator screen constantly if that doesn't work, take the thermostat out of the top of the coolant pump if the water is the correct level. The overflow tank should have 2 inches of coolant in it. Charlie
canam1991 2 #3 Posted May 28, 2009 the screen is always clean after every mow where is the thermosata unside of the black hose? i'm thinking it could be sticking and getting hot where can i find a stat?
WheelHorse_of_course 99 #4 Posted June 17, 2009 If this is anything like a car engine there should be a "gooseneck" on the pump where the top hose connects. When you get the thermostat you will get a new gasket. Usually it is connected with two bolts. Once you lift the gooseneck off the thermostat nestles in below it. If you do not plan on using it in the winter time you can just remove it. Best of luck :thumbs2:
