tgranthamfd 29 #1 Posted May 25, 2009 Wonderig what models this Blade would fit, looks older.
WHC-125 4 #2 Posted May 25, 2009 It looks like a Bolens type blade but a Wheel horse frame.
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #3 Posted May 25, 2009 It was originally for the 400/550/401/551 Wheel Horse Suburban models but it looks like it has an altered/different mounting bracket. Look up BD-4261 at PartsTree.com for an IPL.
tgranthamfd 29 #4 Posted May 26, 2009 The bracket does look a little different in the drawing (BD-4261) wonder if it will still work on a suburban, hard to tell from the picture angle. Anyone else every seen this bracket configuration on a horse?
mcwh1950 2 #5 Posted May 26, 2009 terry the blade look like one that was on ebay back in dec hook up to a john deere as a back blade . the front part of the blade is for a 110 john deere hitch blade.
DMESS 24 #6 Posted May 26, 2009 This one is actually setup for an RJ. The unique mounting bracket clears the RJ axle since the more typical "Suburban" style bracket would not. It's all Wheel Horse. Nothing JD or Bolens to be found here. <_
tgranthamfd 29 #7 Posted May 26, 2009 Wonder what it would take to convert it back for a suburban?
evanloock 236 #8 Posted May 26, 2009 Just the rear bracket for the Suburban for it to be correct for a 400/550/401/551. However I have a Suburban 550 that came with the HD-42 blade that used the RJ rear bracket. Apparently the RJ bracket will work on all mid-engine models, the Suburban rear bracket only on the models listed above.
CasualObserver 3,411 #9 Posted May 26, 2009 Can you post a side profile of that bracket setup? I don't think I've seen it before. I've seen the Suburban bracket work just fine on an RJ... saw one this weekend. The blade seems to lift higher than the one on my Suburban with the same setup. Maybe the bracket was just redesigned? Here's the picture of it mounted on an RJ.
tgranthamfd 29 #10 Posted May 27, 2009 Sorry Lord, that is the only picture I have of the blade / bracket set up. Someone e-mailed it to me, thought I might be interested. No information came just that it was a dirt / snow blade for a Wheel Horse, if I remember correctly. :omg:
tgranthamfd 29 #11 Posted July 4, 2009 This blade was on e-bay, I bought it. Talked to the guy and he purchased it for his c series, found it wouldn't work. It is a wheel horse set up, he said his 4 yr old pealed the sticker off. He did not know anything about the bracket set up. When I, finally, get it here I will get a side pic. posted and maybe some better pictures. Thanks for all of your input. Hopefully it will be here soon, he had some issues with his pay pal account. :thumbs2:
