pfrederi 18,670 #1 Posted December 30, 2020 I have a straight hone but was curious about ball hones. How close do they have to be to the bore size. e.g. K301 is 3.375 bore they seem to b e offered in 1/4" increments do i use 3.25 or 3.5????... 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
adsm08 3,243 #2 Posted December 30, 2020 I'd go over. On a .3.375 bore a 3.25 ball hone may not give you a deep enough scratch, but they usually can flex inward a bit, so a 3.5 should fit in the hole. Remember to oil well. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
