seuadr 489 #1 Posted December 12, 2020 Today i was hooking up some aux lighting for my snow blower and noticed yhe following wire just hanging out. It goes to the middle relay shown in the second picture. I think it might end up in yhe warning light cluster? Anyone know what it is for?
cleat 7,173 #2 Posted December 12, 2020 According to these attached wire diagrams, it should plug into your starter solenoid. Wheel horse 520H wire diagram.pdf Later model 520 wire diagram.pdf
seuadr 489 #3 Posted December 12, 2020 Wow, weird. My starter works without it connected..
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,391 #4 Posted December 13, 2020 There is another light blue wire
seuadr 489 #5 Posted December 13, 2020 That color coding is great! Thanks for sharing! I think you are correct - that relay does have a purple wire running between it and the relay next to it. If it is the neutral safety and it works like the seat switch, it be jumpered out somewhere.. as it does not appear to work (nor does the seat switch)
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,391 #6 Posted December 13, 2020 Any or all the wires going to the indicator light module can be disconnected and it will have no influence on how the tractor operates. They are just for the indicator lights. Here is the complete file from the Demystification Guide. Garry
seuadr 489 #7 Posted December 13, 2020 awesome, thanks! I have been using this tractor just as a worker for about a decade now. nothing that i noticed has broken, (except the seat switch never worked) so i didn't think much about looking into what i had. When i started to add aux lights (in the second switch location in the dash) i started noticing all kinds of wiring irregularities
