oilwell1415 563 #1 Posted December 6, 2020 While I was getting my K181 ready to put on my tractor I noticed that there isn’t a way to connect a cable to the choke. There’s just a lever with markings like you are supposed to move it by hand. There’s no hole in the lever or bracket to hold the cable. Is that normal? Or has the carb been changed? I have no idea what tractor model it came from, just that it was a wheel horse. I won’t have any problem attaching a cable, but if this is the wrong carb I’d rather just get the right one. ebinmaine 72,654 #2 Posted December 6, 2020 Not something I've seen but we've only had back to about '65 or so here.
stevasaurus 23,277 #3 Posted December 6, 2020 If it is a Carter "N" , it will work...but you may have to fab the choke lever. The 8hsp Kohler engines had Carter "N" for carbs. The Carter "N" is on a ton of machines from back then. I have one on my 7hsp Kholer also.
