seven 202 #1 Posted November 29, 2020 I've got a k321 here and it runs awesome lots of power etc. I had the head off awhile back and all i really did was lap the valves set the valves new head gasket and put back together. The piston and sidewalks looked good and there wasn't any side to side play . It smokes a lot when you go to start it up but then goes away . Maybe I should have gone farther on it I'm not sure rings bore job etc money ? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Pullstart 65,005 #2 Posted November 29, 2020 It could be valve guides or rings possibly, but once temperatures rise things expand enough to seal it up. You could try some sea foam in the oil to do a hefty innards cleaning before an oil change, then run Lucas oil additive. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

peter lena 9,126 #6 Posted November 29, 2020 SEVEN , have had very good results with RISLONE PRODUCTS , https://rislone.com/product/ring-seal-smoke-repair-4416/ the best thing about rislone is that it , CUTS ENGINE VARNISH AND CLEANES OUT OIL FLOW PASSAGES , most important is to put some time on the oil , so it can get hot and break down and flush varnish out. works best with fresh oil so you can see the color change starting , the longer it stays in , till liquid black , is really showing you the crud removal. then do it again , for a more thorough varnish clean , the hotter and longer it runs the more it cleans . this is only my own experience , but the rislone products I have used have transformed the smoothness and running in my kohlers , pete 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
