matt monte 225 #1 Posted November 24, 2020 hello all. im new to the tractor scene. picked up this at end of summer off CL and other than usual stuff, (deck belt snapped, dead battery) it runs rather well and cuts grass as it should. Anyway a couple of questions i cant seem to find doing general internet research. The other day i was using machine in a way it wasn't designed for. I was mulching down piles of leaves in an effort to create less bags. System was working well until what i believe is the idler pulley broke. Evidently pulley was rusted and i suppose because of extra pressure, broke in half! So to the question....Can this be swapped with something else? Meaning can i search marketplace/CL for a used deck to harvest pulley? Deck wasn't all that difficult to remove however since mine looks so ratty i was gonna media blast it and repaint. Anything i should watch or be servicing while i strip her down? And my last question. I would love to pick up a snowblade to tackle new driveway. Are all wheel horse snowplows compatible or do i have to narrow my hunt for something more exact? gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,482 #3 Posted November 25, 2020 In you first picture of the deck there is a white decal at the left rear corner of the deck. Should have the model number and serial number on it. Post those and we can point you to a replacement pulley. The 264-6 was sold as 1994-1996 models using two model numbers. 72042 and 72062 and the serial number identifies the model year. Will dig up some info on a plow blade.
