Who knows about the deck, I have one for mine, will I ever use it, probably not.  It will be for display use someday.

I have been recently going through all my attachments and selling off ones I don't need or will never use.  It's been challenging enough just to find someone with interest to buy or take them,  the attachment s really don't hold any value anymore sadly

Interesting!  I'm trying to not buy a tractor unless it comes with some attachment unless I already have an attachment for it.  Really don't need anymore "Yard" tractors.  Decks rot out before the tractor's do so I would have thought the decks would be sought after.  I'm also getting less interested in driving very far.  If this thing were just down the road it would now be just behind the barn!  Three hour drives take up too much precious time.

If that tractor had been available here for that price when I was looking I would have jumped on it.  But finding a roundhood down south is a bit of a challenge on it's own.  I paid a lot more for my 552, but it was a complete running and driving tractor.  That one could not even come close be being the tractor I got for the money I paid.  But as others have mentioned, if the deck is good and you knew someone that needed it you could probably get your money back just on that.

For me the tractor in your pictures would be a $100 tractor at best and that would be if it were less than an hour round trip to get it. There is just too much visibly wrong with it and all of the high dollar parts are either gone or messed up.

I paid $50 for this 701. Travel time 30 min round trip.

My 701 that Jim is driving in this picture was a $200 purchase. Ran & drove-ish, haven't touched the paint yet. Just had to figure out how to get it home from a show when I bought it.

You did good times two!  Real good!  But I agree, too much wrong, too far away for $200.  The belt guard does come with it though and a small box of odds and ends.  If I didn't have so much other stuff waiting on me I'd go it but I'd still be asking myself why...

Just as in real estate,

location,location,location...I wouldn’t hesitate if it was close to me.Way to hard to find around these parts especially the older round hoods. As far as attachment’s same rules apply plus what attachments you are talking about trading on.Some are just more popular then others...

Glad to see you back, Dennis. Tractors were hard to find at my price until this fall. I think some of that govt give away money worked it's way through the system, and then more was sort of promised and not delivered  That tractor is beat and the deck is beat.  i bought two 145 class black hoods [one with busted plastic fenders and the other one nice.AND an extra set of Firestone ags AND a front blade And onenice 48" SD . All for 200$  Before that a c-121 auto with deck that looked nice for 200$ and finally my sweet 16 C-160-8 with 42"RD for 350$.  Best prices ever this fall. a few surprises in the repair process, but not huge dollars for stuff like knackered transmissions. There is even another C-160 30 miles away for 250$ but i would rather have mine, which only needs wiring so far.

These were owners ask prices, not a result of talking stuff down. The guy that had the c-145 s would probably buy a repaired one back, but he does not want to send it to a shop with the high costs and a struggling business climate. He also was fed up with tire kickers who always wanted a better deal no matter how many times he lowered the listing. When I called, I told him that I needed his tractors for work, I had immediate cash with no games, and he just wanted them gone , so i have two tractors to make the best one, and probably could pick what I wanted for net cost zero after fixing his.

Thank you!  Good to be back!

Several of my tractors cost $200 or so but I might have driven 2 or 3 hours to get them.  I'm out of touch on the early models and don't see enough to get a feeling for them.  I'm also looking at a decent C-120 with two decks for only $200 but it'll be that 2-3 hour round trip.  But then I'd have yet another decent WH.  That I don't need...
