Marvin Moore 1 #1 Posted November 10, 2020 (edited) Hello has anyone added a length of tubing to the breather snorkel on a 1996 417a kt17 series 2 to get it away from grass clippings in the summer, or does it pointing towards the fan screen have a beneficial effect on the air flow. 953 nut 59,967 #2 Posted November 10, 2020 I have not had a problem with grass clippings entering the air intake snorkel on mine when it is in the summer position. I'm afraid the manual on the KT-17 isn't much help because it shows a different air cleaner housing. You could experiment with different locations and see what happens.
