lynnmor 7,815 #2 Posted November 8, 2020 (edited) Check the two mounting bolts to see if they are tight. If that isn't the problem, remove those bolts and wiring to remove the starter. Put some light oil on the starter drive to free it up, then connect the wires and run it. Rotate the engine and look for bad teeth on the flywheel. If you still have noise you can use the Onan Service Manual, available on this site, for disassembly information.
