Need help with my 1277 project

Picked up a 1277 basket case and I was going to use it for parts, but I want to try to get it running and see if it will move under its own power before I rip it apart for parts because if it runs well I’ll do a partial restore on it. Anyway onto the help.

When i got it home I check for spark, and I have it. I pulled the fuel tank and soaked it and put fresh fuel in it, I put the factory carb back on and pulled the aftermarket walbro that was on it off. replaced all the fuel lines and put a fuel filter on it. I sprayed a little starter fluid in the carb and she fired right up! But won’t run on fuel.

I am getting fuel to the inlet of the fuel pump, nothing on the outlet. It has an aftermarket plastic fuel pump in it. I’m assuming that is not working. It also came with a factory fuel pump (pictures of both are below)

Should I rebuild the factory pump or replace it? How do I rebuild it? Does it need to be rebuilt? I have no idea why the previous owner swapped them. Thanks guys!!
