jla1257 2 #1 Posted November 6, 2020 I am looking at purchasing this but, the seller does not know what model it is. She claims it is an '85 but I am not so sure. Any help in identification is appreciated. Thanks, Jeff

jla1257 2 #3 Posted November 6, 2020 Right! I brought my Wheel Horse with me to MS where I moved here 11 years ago. I quickly found out that parts are hard to come by here. All I really want off of it is the rear wheels, spacers and the plow.
1995 520H+96+97 937 #4 Posted November 6, 2020 I'd rather have the 1956 Case 400.

We find what we need even if it's halfway to east gish. The rig in the pics appears homemade for sure but out of what.....?? The rear fenders and steps kinda say deere to me but I don't have a good angle so they could be Sears parts as well. What's the asking price for that? @Stepney maybe you could comment here? WHNJ701 4,165 #6 Posted November 6, 2020 To bad the grill is all busted up, that holds some value. I don't know? I guess if it's cheap enough and the tires are good
Stepney 2,354 #7 Posted November 6, 2020 Its a 70-72ish Sears Suburban for sure.. Ghost Grille. later years had the plastic grille. Im struggling hard with that engine.. almost looks like a Kohler Magnum? Its like no Teccy or Briggs I've seen..? Dash panel is late late Roper era.. Sears dash looks nothing like that. Ropers had squared fenders though... The dash was cast aluminum.. may have just been an available repair part?
jla1257 2 #8 Posted November 8, 2020 Thank you for the replies. She is asking $300 for it but, being a hodge podge of parts (listed as a Wheel Horse) and an hour drive my offer would probably be insulting. If I knew that the blade would fit or could be modified to fit my 1257 I would be more willing to jump on it.

It isn't anywhere near a 1985. It isn't anywhere near a complete assembly of anything. And unless it runs and drives it isn't worth anywhere near $300. No notion of where the current owner could have gotten a price tag like that..... As far as a plow for your current tractor you're better off to just search a little bit and get the correct one.
WHNJ701 4,165 #10 Posted November 8, 2020 300 bucks you can buy a few sets of brand new 6-12 tires and have them shipped to you. Even if it runs and drives I wouldn't pay anything near that. I would pass on it
