jeremi3210 742 #1 Posted November 5, 2020 Anyone ever try to drill and tap a oil pan from a wide block Kohler to fit it on a wheelhorse frame? I've got a few wide pans laying around that don't have the holes in the bottom been thing of giving it a try.
Pullstart 66,723 #2 Posted November 5, 2020 Congrats on your supporter status Jeremi! Can’t wait to see the progress on “Steve” the puller! I recall from my tool and die days that threads in cast iron need to be 2x the diameter of thread. For 3/8” bolt mounting, do you have 3/4” of meat to tap?

Definitely will do a post on Steve when the time comes, right now Jacob is still in plowing mode and wants to build his 953. On the pan iam not sure but I doubt if Kohler made specific ones just for wheelhorse.

Dont go too deep. 1
