Most of the guys carried spare fuel. I have twin tanks- a C series under the seat and B series under the hood, with shutoff valves on each. I can carry just under 5 gallons

..still needed to steal a gallon from one of the guys haha, we did a LOT of riding!

So you averaged about 5 miles per gallon… not bad considering that’s over 3 days and a lot of hard work!

4 of us made it- Studabakers Cub, creepycrawler (Tom) Wheel Horse, Ohio offroad (Donnie) Sears, and myself. Our host Joshs Horse lost his vanguard engine literally 2-3 miles from home on the last leg and I towed him in haha.

Those old Sears machines are a close second to the Horses as far as durability, but they need some front end and trans bracing to do it. The Cubs are killer, just HEAVY.

He is a mad scientist! I think he changed the ring and pinion ratio, and he also spins that hopped up K341 well over 5000rpms!
