Recommended Posts

Red Headed Horse

I have just acquired a project and amongst the items missing is the fuel tank. Can anyone tell me if the tank is round or square as I have seen listings for both style of tanks for the Kohler K91. Photos of a Suburban would be great forcease of identication. Thanks

As Craig showed you the tank for a Suburban is oval shaped and it is larger than the one found on a K-91. If you modified the straps you sould mount one of the smaller ones though.

Same tank style as the smaller panzer tractors. these tanks are reproduced, I think they were around 80 bucks.

The location of the filler neck will dictate whether, or not, the tank mounts up correctly in it's straps and it's correct location under the hood.

I have come across one for a Wheel Horse 953. OEM Part Number: 2718  it's certainly oval in shape but the filler neck is not in the postition as pictured in AMC Rules's post.

I have worked out that this tank is too big for a Suburban. Back to the drawing board again.

Look at hapco parts they carry repro panzer parts they might have a repro tank.  The guy who made them used to sell on eBay, he made all sorts of custom size tanks, he specialized in old go kart stuff.
