rustyedge1 176 #1 Posted October 8, 2020 Trying to id what WH this hood will fit. I have heard measurements can determine some but don't know. Any ID help appreciated.
Achto 29,433 #2 Posted October 8, 2020 Should fit most round hood tractors '62 - '64 that have the square gas tank / dash combo. 1
J854D 141 #3 Posted October 8, 2020 (edited) If you measure on the top of the hood from the edge by the gas tank to the seam at the front, a 753 and other round hoods will be 15-1/8”. A hood for an 854 measures 16-1/8”. It is longer to accommodate a taller air cleaner that the 8HP Kohler used. Also 753 & 854 hoods have a rolled edge on the bottom of the hood sides for added strength. -JD- Edited October 8, 2020 by J854D
71_Bronco 1,072 #4 Posted October 9, 2020 Looks like the one on my Lawn Ranger from 1962. I think my hood is common for a few other models as stated above.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,522 #5 Posted October 9, 2020 Has the part number of the hood been determined? I have a list of hoods and what they fit. Garry

J854D 141 #7 Posted October 10, 2020 The picture of your hood doesn’t appear to have the rolled edge on the hood sides so that will eliminate the 753 & 854 hoods. So it probably would be a 62 Ranger hood like @71_Bronco has or possibly a 702 hood. Hope that helps! -JD-

rustyedge1 176 #9 Posted October 10, 2020 Looks like mine is 15 1/8" The LR marked one has the rolled edge and not cut out. Thanks all.
71_Bronco 1,072 #10 Posted October 10, 2020 (edited) I'll measure mine in a bit. My hood is not original to my tractor though, so not sure how much it will help, but I'll still measure anyways. Edit: Just measured mine, 15-1/8" from tank opening to nose-seam. My hood has the sides rolled / folded under. Not sure what that makes mine. I know its not the original hood to my '62 Lawn Ranger 32R, and it looks like the rolled edges confirm that. Edited October 10, 2020 by 71_Bronco
