Kohler k181 ID Tag

I lost my ID tag while restoring my 856. I see people remake them. Was wondering if the serial numbers were specific to each year or if it would be impossible to know what it was unless I found the tag.

The serial numbers identify the year of engine manufacture and impossible to determine what it was.

Even if it is the original engine it will still be impossible to determine what the spec and other numbers were?

The info we have is the 856 used K181S-30108D.

It is in this file. Click on the picture and the 2nd picture on the page that comes up. Or download the D&A file there.

If the Kohler is the original engine for your horse, the it is a K181S-30108D.  :handgestures-thumbupright:
