Clevis slot hitch help

I have a slot hitch already on my tractor and not sure what the large  "C"  is for or the sloted bar with fixed pin.

 

It came with my 2 piece cultivator  however  its not in the manual  or parts  listing

If I were you, I’d try to hook it all up without those two extra pieces.  The mid mount cultivator would lift like the mower deck does, then use the clevis hitch to lift the rear cultivator.  See how that works for ya
