@Oldskool what steel are you wanting to bend?

I'm looking to bend 1/8" x 1-1/4 x 8ft angle iron. I'm looking to close the profile angle past 90 degrees. Basically to close the open side down to 3/4" and still keep the straight sides

I tried that with shorter pieces than 8 ft but found it quicker and easier to just cut it and weld it.

The corner is thicker so it wanted to curve the sides when bending it closed

That's unfortunate. I need 12 and already would have to weld both sides as it is. I was hoping to not add another 96ft of welding on top of the 192ft I already have to do

If I understand correctly you want 1/8th steel bent to more than a 90. is this correct?  If yes check with a sheet metal shop. My machine shop friend said he can do it in his shop.

Yes you are correct. All the shops near me have older equipment and cant go passed 90.

Could you get some 1/8" flat at 2" wide and have it folded back?  I have an ancient Tennsmith brake that could do that.  If you need a certain radius at the bend, one can run a wire or small diameter round stock in it to maintain shape.

I'm going to check with a machinist buddy of mine in a few minutes and see what he says. He may have a way

I wouldn't miss any of them.

The question is, how in the world are you going to get the honey do list done and also keep all of us five year olds happy?

I think you can do it. Might take some extra caffeine but I think you can do it....

Oh I've been knocking stuff off my list. I really want to get this need build started. It may take a while getting this one done. No caffeine here. Never touch the stuff. It makes me all antsy. I would get alot of nothing done

Might have an addition to the herd. Waiting for a response from the owner. No deck. Good for parts

I thought it looked like a mid 70's. So it would be this style grille?

And a 8 hp Kohler has got to be the easiest engine to get running. Seems like they all WANT to run.

Cool. I was thinking of getting it for parts but we will see. It might end up as a later project.
