redone 45 #1 Posted September 10, 2020 I 've rebuilt these two motors from over size piston to new valve restored.starters, on both engine's. One motor gave out after running for about one hour. No idea but oil presure was fine. Sudden knocking then shut it down. Completely change oils and made sure seals were in place.no leaking. I am wondering if the crank could not hold up to much presure on rods. I should know better, then to not take the crank out and machine all. I am not going to dump more money into these motors. Hate to junk, but so many new and repainted parts. Especially from stator to flywheel. Man it's a lot of work. What's a good way to either sell all or ? Thanks Guys Bill

Did you use Plastigauge to check the rod/crank clearance? Are the rods seized?
