Recommended Posts

Went to rebuild carb on c-160 k341 a couple weeks ago and couldnt get low speed jet out it just wrung right off even with carb body:wacko:.So ordered new carb and installed it the other day with new fuel line and filter also and every thing seemed alright pulled good started right up,but I ran out of time and really wanted to got motor good and warm before really getting it dailed in.That brings us up to today got everything up to operating temp and tractor runs good with plenty of power but wanted to set the idle screw and it does not do anything cant make get lean or rich(seems to be a little lean).I'm thinking its stopped up but dunno.Would y'all just leave it alone or take it back off and clean it out?BTW high speed seems to work as it should.Ive used these "new" carbs before and have never had any trouble may just be a bad one anyone else had any trouble with them.It came from isavetractors.

I've had multiple bad experiences with aftermarket carbs and I'm VERY unlikely to ever use one again.

The right answer is to call Norman and ask him exactly what he wants you to do.

It's possible you have a carb that is too small for a K341.

Pretty sure its a #30 that I put on which is what suppose to be on the 341's.Guess I will try and blow it out before I do anything drastic lol.

That's the correct size, yes.

Yeah go ahead and try to clean it out a bit. Perhaps there's a little muck in there. Spray some brake clean through every which way and back again.

Might try taking the idle screw out and running a properly sized torch tip cleaner through.  Don't want to over do it, though and change the size of the idle jet.
