520H Onan Engine surging.2.

Engine fine yesterday. Started today and it keeps surging. Seems like it's getting gas and not getting gas. 

1. Should there be a steady, minute stream of gas coming into carb barrel?

2. What powers the fuel pump? 

3. Could it be electrical?

1. It is difficult to determine the correct amount of fuel looking down the carburetor throat.

 

2. There is a vacuum pulse hose on the back side of the fuel pump, if it leaks, that could cause surging.

 

3. I doubt that that you have an electrical problem.

 

First thing to try is cleaning out the carburetor.
