Mag12 carb replacement

Recommended Posts

Sparky

One of my Magnum 12’s has a pretty messed up Walbro carb. Searching around for a replacement is turning into a pain in the butt. Isavetractors website says they are temporarily out...Ill gladly purchase a cheaply clone one off Amazon but weeding thru it all is a nightmare and when I think I’ve found one it’s not the same choke lever setup or throttle setup.
Just want one that matches, plug and play so to speak. Don’t want to be fabricating linkages and whatnot. Anyone got a good lead on a place to order one?

Switch to an older K series adjustable carb

This one appears to have the choke lever in the right position. Just need to drill the hole a little larger for the butterfly to fit that plastic linkage retainer.

Sparks, I'm pretty sure I have the exact same carb. I'll get a pic shortly

Looks like there is a slight difference in the carb body. This carb came on a K341 that I put on my C-160. I heard the engine run with this carb but I have no idea on the condition of the bowl as far as dirt ect. I had recently rebuilt the carb on the engine I was replacing so I wanted to use that one. I do know it's a Walboro. It's just bolted on the old engine to keep me from tripping over it.

that looks just like the carb on my magnum 12.The carb I got from isavetractors is supposed to be direct replacement for k series and mag series but they do not resemble the carb in pic above so I know linkage is different but haven't tried to use one of there carbs on magnum motor so dont know what all would be involved in installing it on magnum's.I can tell you isavetractors carb did work great on my K341  c-160:handgestures-thumbupright:.Hope you get it figured out because Im going to be needing one in the near future for a magnum 12 lol....
