Burnerman 759 #1 Posted August 20, 2020 My son picked up this 312-8 at the junkyard. It’s in super rough condition. I just wanted the M12. Got about $150 bucks in it now. got a used muffler, new carb kit, Magneto and intake screen. I was thinking of swapping it into my C-101 but I also have a 72 Commando 800 that has a worn out 8 hp. If I can get it to fit without massive modification I might try that. the smoke is anti seize and oil burning off the exhaust. peter lena 9,273 #2 Posted August 21, 2020 burnerman, I think that parting that 312 out for another horse would be the way to go , engine , trans and front axle , to your older rig sounds like a possibility to me, once you get that 312 stripped down you will have a better idea as to what will work. i recently picked up a 3-14-8 , that was very rough , sorted it out made a few swaps ,got it running , and ended up selling it , there was just too much to repair. let us know how you make out , pete 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
