tarnoki 0 #1 Posted May 13, 2009 Hi all, I'm looking to replace my rear tires as they are the original to the tractor and in dire need of replacement. I began to realize the difficulty in finding these when my local Farm & Fleet said it wasn't in any of their catalogs (that's a first for me). Previous posts in various WH forums on this topic didn't produce any tangible results (miller.com, tucker.com). The current tire size is 27x9.50-15 turf tread. Anything out there on the net for reasonable price new or used with turf tread? Will need shipped to 60178. Other sizes that fit? Thanks, Steve
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted May 13, 2009 Carlisle offers a "Turf Handler" in 8.50 or 10.50 widths that could potentially be what you're after. Do a search for local dealers who carry Carlisle tires or visit the Carlisle webpage. :omg:
Sparky-(Admin) 23,129 #3 Posted May 13, 2009 Believe it of not but theres a Super Wal-Mart (with an Auto Shop in it) here in Connecticut with a pair on the shelf. They are the turf tread type. Maybe check out a Super Wal-Mart in your area. Mike.........
.5racer 14 #4 Posted May 14, 2009 Order from store to store and I think they are free shipping and Wal-Mart will call you when there in . All you need is the SKU number.

tarnoki 0 #12 Posted May 15, 2009 Mike, Thanks, I will give both WM's a call to see what they can work out. Nick, Thanks for the link. They had a pretty good price of $100 shipped for the set. I will check with WM. If they come in lower, I can get them mounted at my WM as well. Whereas someone else would charge me more for mounting the Glens set. Thanks all, Steve
tarnoki 0 #13 Posted May 21, 2009 Nick, I ordered from glenssurplus...$100 shipped for 2. Thanks for the lead!!! I called both Walmarts in CT and neither said they had that tire size. Oh well, it was worth a try. Steve
