bp31337 15 #1 Posted August 11, 2020 Super excited to have joined the WH owners club. Have a new to me 1997 Toro/WH 314h that came with a 42" deck and leaf catcher. I just picked up a single stage short chute snow thrower that needs a tiny bit of TLC but should be very handy here in MI. I apologize for the probably offensive addition of the Bolens wheel weights but since I had the rusty pair it seemed a no brainer to clean them up and paint them red to go with the ag tires. I can't say enough how impressed I am with the quality of materials and more importantly how well thought out this tractor is. Thx in advance for the community support. ebinmaine 63,083 #2 Posted August 11, 2020 Super cool!! Don't sweat the off brand wheel weights. As long they were never on a "green thing" you're fine. Looks like a good strong purchase.
bp31337 15 #3 Posted August 11, 2020 Haha, thx for the tip. If I am ever tempted to put anything "green" on it, I will grind off all markings first. Thanks for the response. 2

Stepney 2,314 #5 Posted August 11, 2020 Looks like she was outfitted with a power flo catcher too. Good solid machine with a bombproof hydro unit. Welcome, and nice rig there!
bp31337 15 #6 Posted August 11, 2020 Thank you and yes, the leaf catcher has the extra power flo attachment that connects to the deck. It sounds like a jet engine when engaged. Very impressive build quality all around.

With proper maintenance the Wheel Horse will give several more decades of service. From time to time it is good to remove the engine covering shrouds to remove any accumulation of grass clippings, same goes for the transmission area. good cooling flow and regular oil changes are the key to longevity. 3
