The gas tank leaks for some reason in the bottom and the one rear hubcap is really rusty ? Maybe it was stored by fertilizer for the past 15 years? I'm trying to braze the rusty bottom of tank and think I will get it? Carb is ok but the throttle shaft bushing is bad bad it turns over ok thou if I get the tank from leaking I will try starting it tomorrow?by the way does anyone now what it is.

Does your tag still have the Anco break-away tab on the end of the plate?

Well I'm definitely going to fix it up some and at least get the correct decals I think it deserves that

Carb shaft bushing is an easy fix.

Don't be too concerned with the tank.

You can likely get a replacement from Lincoln at A to Z

Nothing realy.

When I added your serial number too the list it landed between two others that had the tab.

That end piece is not normally there.

Carb shaft bushing I had to fix one other time on a 877 I think and I could not find that small of a bushing at the local hardware store?

Go to your hardware store that has all the little pull out tray of parts. Get 2 brass Hillman bushings. They will look like brass washers. The larger Kohler carbs 12-16hp use a bushing/washer with a !/4" ID Im not sure what size the 8hp throttle shaft is, but it may also be 1/4"  press the 2 washers into the recess on the top of the carb.  If the shaft fits too tight you can hand ream the bushing with a drill bit.

Nice tractor but the first thing I would do is replace that ugly colored seat !!! Just repaired a couple of pin holes in a gas tank I had. Lead soldered them. So far so good. Shame about those hub caps.
