John2189 546 #1 Posted July 14, 2020 Is there any other place they put the serial number on my c-165 besides the panel under the dash which is missing on mine? And why would they put a serial number on a removable panel?

The engine spec and serial number may be of some interest for some engine parts.
Herder 2,355 #6 Posted July 14, 2020 Chances are someone here would identify the year just from viewing some photos. Just saying.

The C-165 was only made for two years, 1980 & 81, so there probably weren't any changes in that short time. A parts list from either year is probably good.
