You're correct. That's a 400. Nice find!

It's also possible it could be a 550 as they were the same tractor with different engines. Look around the toolbox for holes which could have mounted a solenoid

Sweeeeeeet !! I just picked up a Predator Engine for my Lambert project. Have not fired it up yet. I am hoping it works as well as that engine does on yours ! Nice pick up !

@Andy N. Nice looking original WH Suburban. :woohoo:

The rusty plate between the original choke and throttle levers would have had the serial number lightly stamped on it.

With the serial number you can roughly age it to being a Model 400 or a Model 550.

I cleaned mine with Evaporust, polished it some with rubbing compound, then took a picture with my phone so I could enlarge it

and actually was able to make out the number.

Very nice tractor, I also like the look of the dual-lies. looks like refueling may be a challenge though.

It is, but you can just get the gas cap off. Didn't want to cut the hood, but may try to raise it a little bit.

Maybe just elongate the tanks mounting holes and slide it back a bit to aid in refueling.

Would it be possible to flip the gas tank 180*?

Or find a K91 and keep it old school.

Is it possible to remove the tank from the engine and use the remote tank on the hood?
