Blades for 36 rear discharge deck

Recommended Posts

Has anyone any experience with this Toro kit:

Manufacturer: Toro
Product Number: 106636

It appears to have 3 equal length blades approx 13" log vs the 14" center and 12" outers from original.  I have an 05-36MR01 deck with the 3/4" spindles.  I'd like some high lift blades but have only found some from a company called Moito and can't find any reviews on them anywhere.

The correct blades set is 107982

Listed on this page. Click on the picture.

The 106636 set is for the 42" SD decks. If you look at the parts list you used there is likely the other set listed with the same item number but different part number. That is the problem with online parts lists.

Thanks Garry.  You are correct.  I appeared to have the same number (application) for both sets.  Anyone have recommendations for options for the 36" decks that aren't $100?  Any high lift blades?  Mine are pretty smooshed and rounded on the ends which really aids in pushing the grass instead of cutting it leaving nice lines when you get into tough grass.

On another subject:  I got a side discharge deck in SORRY shape when I bought the mower.  It doesn't have any grease zerks on the spindles?!  Did the old style use sealed bearings?  Are the spindle housings the same from the old double D spindles to the round style?  I def will need to replace one spindle as the nut and top portion of the spindle appear to me missing from the center/drive spindle, and of course the pulley is well and truly seized on and the PO has wrecked it trying to get it off.  Good times.  So at a minimum that deck would need all 6 bearings, idler pulley, center drive pulley, drive spindle, training wheels, deck belt!  Geez what a mess.  Guess I'll keep my eyes peeled for a better shape side discharge deck or better yet a complete mower with engine/trans issue.  Oddly the deck isn't all rusted out even though its obviously been severely neglected for decades.
